Make Your Voice Heard

Join us for our pre-legislative session information event! The Nevada Legislature meets every two years, February through June in Carson City, and we have one of the most accessible legislatures in the nation. Regular people like you and I can sit in on sessions and committee hearings, provide comment, and talk to your representatives. It’s one of the most effective ways to get involved in making your community better for yourself, your friends and family, and our state as a whole!

Presentations for the January event will be provided by Christine Saunders, Policy Director for Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN), and John Hadder, Executive Director of Great Basin Resource Watch. We’ll offer a short introduction to NELIS (Nevada Electronic Legislative Information System) and how you can track bills, provide comment, and follow progress throughout the session. NNMF Board Member Tina Davis will moderate the session and share her own insight into this process.
